Road Defects
In metro Atlanta and north Georgia, rapid population growth has resulted in a roadway infra-structure not equipped to sustain the heavy traffic. This has resulted in roadways that in many cases are defective. State and local governments frequently are unable to design, build and maintain our roadways in the condition that is necessary to ensure the safety of the motoring public. Damaged and unmaintained roads, dangerous road shoulder and drop off conditions, and roads with inadequate or non-existent signage necessary to warn the motoring public of dangerous conditions often characterize our State's "rural turned metro" highway and local road system.

Our firm has achieved significant results for the victims of dangerous, defective and inadequately maintained roads. Although many single-car and multi-car accidents result from the dangerous condition of the roadway, these cases frequently go unprosecuted leaving the the accident victim and family members with substantial medical bills, future medical expenses, lost income, or even loss of life. Our attorneys have worked with leading roadway engineering experts from some of our nation's top universities and engineering firms to demonstrate that the dangerous condition of the road caused or substantially contributed to our client's loss of vehicle control and the resulting collision.

If you, or a loved one, have been involved in a single-car accident or an accident caused by the loss of vehicular control, do not assume that there is no legal recourse. Many times such accidents are caused by defects in the road and/or shoulder. Please be sure to consult with a legal professional who is experienced in the handling of such cases and who is trained to spot defects in the road and/or shoulder that may not be obvious to the untrained eye.

Our attorneys have successfully litigated in State and Federal Courts in all regions of Georgia, in urban, suburban and rural counties. Please contact us if we can be of service to you.
